The AC-130J Ghostrider is a fifth generation gunship. It has two cannons mounted on the sides of the aircraft and it can also launch missiles and bombs.

The names of the three aircrew members who died in the crash near Clovis Tuesday night have been released by the U.S. Air Force.

A USAF Airman from Mississippi died earlier this week in Clovis, New Mexico of unspecified causes.
