There's much to be said about sportsmanship in college football. Fans often demonstrate the best and worst of it. But this moment, caught on video during the Texas Tech-Stephen F. Austin game Saturday night, definitely showed the worst of it. And it came from a coach, not a player or fan.

The short clip of a Stephen F. Austin coach flipping the bird was posted by Facebook user Audra Chandler and shared by the Only in Lubbock Facebook page. The coach was accompanying an injured Ahmad Muhammad to the locker room.

Muhammad (no. 37) was hurt during Texas Tech's first touchdown of the 2016 season: Cameron Batson's insane jumping/flipping leap into the end zone. You can see sideline video of it below.

It needs to be said that while Muhammad was on the ground for a couple minutes after the play, fans in Lubbock did what they always do for any injured player: remain quiet, hold their guns up, then applaud when the player returns to their feet.

It's unclear if something specific prompted the SFA coach to get that one particular gun up while he walked Muhammad to the locker room.

The Red Raiders went on to defeat the Lumberjacks 69-17. Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw four touchdowns and ran for two more. You can see our highlight reel from the game below.
