The South Plains Food Bank needs volunteers to help feed children this year.

The group needs four volunteers on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday during the school year from 4:30 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. at Cricket Court, located off of 58th Street and Avenue Q.

“We are feeding anywhere from 30 to 50 kids every day at this Kids Café location,” said Tammy Hester, SPFB Kids Café program director and executive chef. “Many of these kids at this location depend on this as their evening meal.”

The South Plains Food Bank provides free, hot, nutritious meals for children ages 18 and under at various Kids Café sites in the area.
