President of Motorcycle Club Sentenced for Firearm Charge Following November 2020 Shooting

A chapter-president of a Texas motorcycle club has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for a firearm charge related to a November 2020 shooting at a Lubbock restaurant.

Forty-two-year-old Danny Lee Gollihugh pleaded guilty in July to possession of an unregistered firearm and was sentenced on Thursday, November 4th.

Gollihugh was the Lubbock chapter president of the Kinfolk Outlaw Motorcycle Club. He was arrested days after a shooting between another motorcycle group called the Banditos Outlaw Motorcycle Club.

The incident occurred on November 12th, 2020 at the 50th Street Caboose restaurant and bar. Surveillance video shows members of the Bandidos approaching Gollihugh and others. Then, Gollihugh pulled a handgun and attempted to fire at the Bandidos members, but the gun jammed. Another member of the Kinfolk Outlaws fired a weapon, wounding one person.

Days following the incident, Gollihugh was arrested and authorities found the handgun used during the shooting as well as an unregistered short-barrel rifle. Gollihugh admitted that he built the rifle using an Aero Precision lower receiver, a Magpul carbine stock, and "the shortest barrel Sharp Shooters had."

Gollihugh still faces a state charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives' Dallas Field Division, Lubbock Resident Agency, the Lubbock Police Department, and the United States Marshals Services spearheaded the investigation.
