Motorcyclist Dies After Running Red Light in Central Lubbock
A man is dead following a motorcycle wreck in central Lubbock this afternoon.
82-year-old Delbert McRoberts crashed into a minivan at the intersection of 58th Street and Indiana Avenue just after noon Tuesday.
Witnesses say that McRoberts did not stop at a red light as he was going northbound on Indiana Avenue, and he hit the side of the van. His head smashed through a window of the van. McRoberts was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck.
McRoberts died at University Medical Center a short time later. The driver and passenger in the minivan were not injured.
