Lubbock Moonlight Musicals to Hold Auditions For Summer Shows

A notable group will hold auditions for their upcoming musicals.

Lubbock Moonlight Musicals will hold auditions in early January for their summer 2014 musicals.

The auditions will be held on:

• Friday, January 3^rd from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
• Saturday, January 4^th from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
• Friday, January 24^th from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.
• Saturday, January 25^th from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Note - The second weekend of auditions were originally scheduled for January 10th and 11th, but have been to January 24th and 25th.

Those who plan to audition will need to prepare 16 measures of a musical theatre piece, and will need to provide sheet music for the provided accompanist in their intended key.

No prerecorded accompaniment is allowed, and those auditioning will not have rehearsal time with the accompanist prior to the audition.

Those auditioning will fill out an audition sheet when they arrive, and headshots and resumes are optional but not required. Costume measurements may be taken during the audition process, but that does not mean that a person will be selected.

Children are encouraged to audition as well, but due to rigorous rehearsal requirements, it is recommended that they be elementary school-aged or older.
