Lubbock County Commissioners Court Approves Raises for Themselves
The Lubbock County Commissioners have approved pay raises for themselves and select other elected city officials.
Despite negative comments offered at hearings, the Commissioners approved a pay raise of up to 42 percent for some officials on Monday, September 8, 2014.
County Judge Tom Head, who did not support the raise, received a raise of 42 percent from $77,450 to $109,925 yearly.
Commissioners Mark Henrich, Patti Jones, Bill McCay and Bubba Sedeno all voted in favor of pay increases for themselves.
