A Lubbock-based photographer who makes a living off of the sea will display his work next month at the Buddy Holly Center.

Don Carpenter is a native Lubbockite who is world-renowned for his underwater photography. He is self-taught and has more than 20 years of experience that has resulted in being printed in countless publications.

Although he principally photographs underwater landscapes and animals, Carpenter has remained based in land-locked Lubbock and still managed to create a thriving enterprise.

A selection of Carpenter’s work will be displayed in the Foyer Gallery of the Buddy Holly Center December 4, 2015-January 10, 2016.
