El Paso, Texas is a great Summer vacation destination and that may be my biased opinion, but I’m sure others would agree!

We have plenty of water parks across the city to enjoy including Wet N’ Wild, City spasl pads and pools and even dog splash pads! The summer fun is endless!!

But apparently not enough to make the list of the ‘Feel-Good’ Summer City Study 2025, but one Texas city came close to cracking the top 10 list so, I’ll take it!

Austin, Texas Just Missed the Top 10 in This New “Feel-Good” Summer Cities Ranking

A new study by BetMGM Casino just dropped the ultimate summer destinations by ranking the top U.S. cities where good energy, sunshine, and sweet summer treats collide, and Austin landed at #11. Not bad, but the city got bumped from the top 10 by beach babes like Miami and L.A. I mean... no surprise.

The study looked at 15 cities using 15 feel-good metrics, including outdoor dining spots, wellness vibes, ice cream shops, and (of course) summer jams from June to August 2025. It was all about leisure, wellness, and how much serotonin a city could squeeze out of one sunny day.

Here’s where Austin Landed on Each metric:

Sunshine Goals: 901 hours of sunshine and an average temp of 84.2°F—hot enough to fry an egg, or your thigh on a car seat.
Vibe Check: 18 live “feel-good” music events (yes, reggae is having a moment).
Outdoor Dining: 225 alfresco spots within a mile of downtown.
Pool Party Central: 33 public pools to cool off in.
Wellness Game Strong: 58 facilities for your next yoga glow-up.
Puppy Friendly Spots: 13 dog parks. We stan.

So why didn’t Austin crack the top 10? Blame the scorching heat and lack of beach access. But let’s be real—if you’ve got tacos, tunes, and a pool floatie, Austin’s still giving main character summer energy.

Hopefully El Paso can make the list next year! Click Here to take a look at the full list!
