The Lone Star State is known for many things.

While our charm is well known we hold one of the highest crime rates in the United States. The violent crime rate is 13% higher than the national average. What classifies a crime as a violent one? It's when robbery, aggravated assault, or murder is committed.

Another thing Texas is known for is the city life of our big cities. While Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio are cities with a bustling town and a variety of unique things to do they do have a downside. They constantly rank highest in Texas for the most dangerous cities.

TRUE CRIME TREND

True crime has become an increasingly popular subject over the years. Documentaries are released on streaming apps almost daily. Social media plays a huge role in the true crime trend as well. Influencers recount some of the most famous true crime cases. Podcasts have also jumped on this trend and are taking off like wildfire. Unfortunately, there are too many true crime tales to sort through so content is always available.
