
New Study Says Texas Stadiums Are Some of the ‘Luckiest’ in Pro Sports
Is home-field advantage really a thing, or is it just an excuse fans use when their team stinks on the road? Well, according to a new study from High 5 Casino, there actually might be some truth to the idea that certain stadiums bring their teams a little extra luck!
The study analyzed home win percentages, scoring averages, and even weather conditions across 140 stadiums and arenas in MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLS to find out which venues give their teams the biggest boost. And as any good Texan would expect, a bunch of Texas stadiums made the list!
Where Texas Stadiums Ranked on the “Luckiest” List
🔥 MLB: Daikin Park (Houston Astros) - THE Luckiest Stadium in Baseball
- The Houston Astros might have officially found a way to beat the baseball gods. Their 54.3% home win percentage and a .267 batting average at home landed them at #1 in all of Major League Baseball.
🏀 NBA: American Airlines Center (Dallas Mavericks) - #7
- The Dallas Mavericks win 60.8% of their home games, and a whopping 36.3% of their points come from three-pointers, proving home court matters in Big D.
🏈 NFL: NRG Stadium (Houston Texans) - #9
- The Houston Texans might not have had the best luck in recent years, but according to the study, NRG Stadium ranks among the top 10 luckiest stadiums in the NFL.
🏒 NHL: American Airlines Center (Dallas Stars) - #10
- The Dallas Stars’ home ice also cracked the top 10 luckiest in the NHL, proving Texas knows how to handle the heat and the ice.
⚽ MLS: Toyota Stadium (FC Dallas) - #10
- FC Dallas rounded out the luckiest stadiums in soccer, making it clear that Texas teams know how to bring it at home.
