Let me start out by saying that this is all PURELY hypothetical. We are NOT renaming the stadium. I have to say that because I got a curt email from a listener who seemed confused.

Anyway, 'Jones AT&T Stadium' is a great name. It's nickname, 'The Jones' is cool too.

According to Wikipedia, Clifford B. and Audrey Jones Stadium opened 76 years ago on November 29, 1947. It was named after Texas Tech's third president Clifford B. Jones and his wife, Audrey, who donated $100,000 (equivalent to $1.36 million in 2024!!!) to build it.

The stadium name was changed to Jones SBC Stadium in 2000 due to a naming rights agreement with SBC Communications. The facility officially changed to its present name of Jones AT&T Stadium as a result of SBC's purchase of AT&T Corporation

But, what would you call the Texas Tech Red Raider's stadium if someone gave you the responsibility? We asked you guys on our Facebook page and here's what you said...

If you could rename Jones Stadium, what would be the new name?
