Watch: Dallas Police in Pursuit of Stolen Boom Lift

A hilarious video shows Dallas police chasing a person driving a stolen boom lift. 

As someone with experience operating a boom lift, I could have saved the thief a little time and energy by letting them know there is no way you will evade police on one of those. Hell, they could probably catch up to it on foot. 

But more importantly, why did the person steal that thing in the first place? I guess you really can sell anything on the black market. However, I would think the demand for stolen boom lifts can’t be very high.

There’s also the possibility that some young rascal just wanted to take it for a joy ride but got caught. It’s not like that sort of thing doesn’t happen every now and then. Just last year, a 10-year-old boy was caught taking construction equipment for a joy ride through a Pittsburgh neighborhood. 

Whatever the case may be, the person on the boom lift is in a heap of trouble. And they upped the ante the moment they decided to run from the police.
