25-year-old Reese Louise Myers was recently extradited to Texas on a fugitive warrant for abandoning or endangering a child in July. Myers left her 16-month-old baby boy at home and drove 150 miles to go on a date with a man she'd met on the dating app 'Hinge.'

Police were called to Myer's home on reports a child was hanging halfway out of a broken window that had been mended with cardboard, on the ground floor level of an apartment building. Witnesses who tried to help the child out of the window were met with two dogs in the home who were very protective of the baby.

There were no other people present in the home when the child was discovered, and cops noticed it looked as though the home had been set up with several precautions for leaving the baby unsupervised.

This isn't the first time Myers left her child alone. A former roommate told authorities Myers often left her baby at home all night alone and claimed he would sleep through the entire night. She also said she had witnessed other signs of neglect.

Myers is currently booked in the Bell County Jail.

If you suspect someone is putting a child a risk, please do the right thing and report it to the police. It doesn't matter if they are your family, your neighbor, your roommate, or your friends. Do the right thing. Children look to adults for protection. Please be the person that comes to their rescue in events such as these.
