Texas Costco Stores Are Making A Big Menu Change I Think You’ll Love
As a Texan, I don't dislike Pepsi, but let's be honest- as a region and people, we prefer Coke. Heck, my older relatives still call all sodas "Coke" around these parts.
If you're like me in your soda preference, you'll be excited to know that Costco stores are making a major switch-up to their menu (which they famously rarely do). They are switching to Coke products.

According to WFLA News, Costco's CEO Ron Vachris confirmed the change to Coke products during a recent shareholders' meeting, and the change should take place this summer.
It's been nearly a decade since Costco featured Coke products as a soda choice- and as part of their iconic and beloved $1.50 soda and hot dog deal.
The switch to Pepsi back then was to help offset the cost of the meal deal, according to Business Insider.
Now it seems that either a deal was made with Coke- or Costco has buckled to popular demand. Coke has consistently maintained a market lead over Pepsi for many years, according to Investopedia.
But what about a Pepper?
Here in Texas, I usually see my beloved DDP alongside Coke products in fountain machines. That's because Dr. Pepper is owned by neither Coke nor Pepsi, but it is the cool guy everyone can get along with.

There's no word yet if we'll get this Texas original alongside Coke at the Costco fountain (or Keurig/ Dr. Pepper-owned Texas favorite Big Red).
Now I'm just left to debate if it's worth the cost of membership for a steady supply of giant, very inexpensive hot dogs along with my preferred soda brand.
