Here's a little follow-up for anyone that has been wondering what became of the "miracle kitten" you read about in the news recently:

A little over a week ago, a tiny kitten was purposely thrown from a moving vehicle on Loop 289 in Lubbock. A local man, Tim Saenz, risked his own safety to grab the kitten out of traffic and save its life. He's an absolute hero! He even found a sweet family to adopt it, too.

Things are definitely looking up for this lucky kitty, and that's great news but it needs a little more than cat treats and cuddles to recover from its terrible ordeal.

They took the kitten to the vet and learned it was a boy. They decided to name him "Patrick", which I think is pretty adorable. They also learned at the vet, that Patrick is much more injured than anyone realized. He has multiple fractures in his left hind leg and his pelvis. They are so severe, in fact, the vet wants to amputate his leg. He also suffered abdominal trauma from the fall and a hernia.

Patrick's new family is doing everything they can to give him a wonderful life, especially after he got such a rough start. They have set up an account on GiveSendGo, to take donations for veterinary services that Patrick needs. They have a goal of $3000, and so far they've only raised $250. If you are interested in helping Patrick, please consider donating to the cause.
