Are you superstitious? I never realized I was until I started thinking about the little stupid things I do to keep "bad" stuff from happening. It's all just a silly habit at this point, but I feel off if I forget to do certain things, like hold my breath when I drive by a cemetery. Is it really going to do anything? No. Do I still do it? Yes. Why? Who the hell knows!?

My morning show partner knocks on wood all the time. He knows it doesn't really change anything, and yet, he still does it. My friend throws salt over her shoulder from time to time. The list goes on and on.

So, what about you? Do you have any weird superstitious tendencies you can't explain? Do you truly believe you'll have 7 years of bad luck if you break a mirror? It's all pretty far-fetched, and yet, here we are.

We asked Texans to tell us their quirky superstitions and were pretty surprised at the response. Scroll through the gallery below to see if you do some of the same things to prevent catastrophe...or worse...
