For one year of my life, I'm pretty sure I watched Food Network exclusively. It was a good year- it was the year I prepared an entire Thanksgiving by myself. I was so proud.

My kitchen skills improved exponentially after I learned and applied the techniques of Food Network stars like Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis, and Rachael Ray.

But I had a particular favorite- I loved his obsession with detail, his vast and deep knowledge of the culinary arts, and his passion.

Of course, I'm referring to Alton Brown and his show Good Eats.

Alton Brown is bringing that same passion and enthusiasm to Lubbock- for what is likely the final time with "Alton Brown Live: Last Bite" coming to Buddy Holly Hall on Sunday, May 11th at 8 p.m.

In fact, we are one of the final shows of the tour- Alton Brown is wrapping up in Austin Texas on May 11th.
