American Airlines Unveils New Logo

Fort Worth based American Airlines has begun a new, more patriotic branding.

American Airlines introduced the new company logo as well as a new paint job for its aircraft on its website.

The new paint scheme places the American Airlines logo forward of the wings and a sleek stylized rendition of the American flag on the tail.

The new paint job will be debuted on a Boeing 777-330 that is slated to begin servicing passengers January 31, 2013.

American Airlines has made a video detailing the new logo's debut along with other aspects of the company which can be viewed here.

The company is close to emerging from its chapter 11 bankruptcy as well as considering a merger with US Airways as they roll out their new look.
