Fire Hydrant and Utility Pole Damaged in Single Car Crash

Wednesday night, police responded to the scene of a single-car accident near the intersection of Quincy and 13th Street in Plainview.

According to police, the driver was traveling northbound on Quincy when they crashed in to a fire hydrant and then a telephone pole, jetting the vehicle to rest in the opposite lane of traffic.

No injuries were reported in the accident and the driver's name has not been released.

Police told KAMC News some water was released from the fire hydrant before it could be shut-off and repairs were made to the utility pole later in the evening.

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
