When I was a kid, the big deal for Christmas was a flocked tree, to give the illusion of a Christmas tree kissed by a freshly fallen snow.

In reality, flocking was still being vacuumed up in July, right along with little strands of tinsel.

This pic was taken in the late 1970's, in the flocking heyday and at a time when I fancied that I would be the next great guitar aficionado.  And who can miss the Danksin pantsuit

Oh the nostalgic looks back, make us a little wistful for days gone by, but mostly grateful for where we are now.  And that's no flocking joke.
