Clovis police are searching for robbery suspects.

Raymond Villa, a 62-year-old Clovis man, was robbed at gunpoint of jewelry and his 60-inch television at around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The robbery happened at Villa’s home in the 700 block of Hondo Street in Clovis. Villa says that three Hispanic males wearing bandanas over their faces forced their way into his house, one with a rifle, and another wielding an aluminum baseball bat.

One of the men took his gold Seiko watch and a gold colored ring, and Villa was instructed not to move or they would kill him.

After the men had left, Villa called police and then noticed that the men had taken his flat screen television, his leather jacket, and a Japanese-style Katana.

Within a few minutes of the 911 call, a Clovis police officer that was responding to the call saw a maroon Nissan Maxima run a stop sign about a half mile from the scene.

The officer followed the car until they stopped, and several suspects fled from the sedan.

Two suspects, 22-year-old Marco Rivera and 22-year-old Leeroy Martinez of Clovis, were arrested and charged with Armed Robbery, Aggravated Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Armed Robbery, and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Burglary.

Some of the stolen items were recovered from the vehicle, along with an airsoft rifle and the aluminum bat. Clovis police are still searching for the other suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clovis Police Department at 575-769-1921 or Crime Stoppers at 575-763-7000.
