Young Eagles Rally Teaches Kids Basic Pilot Skills

Mark Drake with the Young Eagles Rally joined Lubbock's First News to discuss the group's upcoming event.

The Young Eagles Rally is a program designed for kids ages 8 to 17 who might have an interest in flying to see first hand what it takes to be a pilot.

"This program since 1992 has flown 1.9 million children," said Drake.

The rally will take place this Saturday (May 30) at the Lubbock Executive Airpark, formerly known as the Town and Country Airport, located on FM 1585 and MLK (CR 2500).
