Woman Jailed After Robbing Store With Liquid Cleaner

One woman is in police custody for reportedly robbing a discount store in Lubbock.

A woman threw liquid cleaner into the eyes of a clerk at the Family Dollar, located on the 2600 block of Parkway Drive just before 8 p.m. Sunday.

The culprit took cash out of the open register and escaped the store. Police have arrested 19-year-old Kyamesha Smith following the incident.

One person who suffered minor injuries was taken to an area hospital.

Smith has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and aggravated robbery. She is being held in the Lubbock County Jail in lieu of $52,500 bond.
