A Winter Weather Advisory continues through 5p today for the South Plains.

Snowfall totals in the northwestern portion of the South Plains are expected to be between 1"-3". Snowfalls totals in the central South Plains, including the cities of Lubbock, Levelland and Plainview, are expected to be between 2"-4". Snowfall totals in the southeast portion of the South Plains could reach up to 6" in some isolated area.

Not a lot of ice expected to form during Sunday's snowfall since highs on Sunday will reach the low 30's in Lubbock and surrounding cities.

There is another chance of a rain/snow mix on Monday night, but the effects will be short-lived with highs on Tuesday to reach into the mid 40's.

Lubbock has gone over 40 days without any recorded precipitation.
