On the heels of last night’s storms, more inclement weather will hit the South Plains and Lubbock County today.

A Wind Advisory is in effect until 5p. Also, there will be areas of blowing dust too.

ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON.

* TIMING...WINDS HAVE INCREASED EARLY THIS MORNING AND SPEEDS WILL
  LIKELY REMAIN UP THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON.

* WINDS...WESTERLY AT SPEEDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS

* IMPACTS...WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING MORE CHALLENGING ON NORTH TO
  SOUTH ORIENTED ROADWAYS TODAY. AREAS OF BLOWING DUST MAY LOCALLY
  REDUCE VISIBILITIES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WIND ADVISORY MEANS THAT WINDS OF 30 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS
THIS STRONG CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
