State Rep. Tom Craddick filed a bill yesterday that would ban texting while driving. The bill has support on both sides of the aisle, but this isn't a first. In the last session, a ban on texting while driving was popular among lawmakers but was vetoed by Governor Rick Perry. At the time Perry said that he didn't want to micromanage the behavior of adults.
