On Thursday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Phil Anthony from the West Winds Brass Band talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about their upcoming summer concert series.

The West Winds Brass Band has been playing in Lubbock for over 50 years. The band consists of both youth and adult members and perform at various community events, such as Fourth on Broadway and the Lubbock ARTS Festival.

This summer, the band will be putting on their annual Summer Concert in the Park series. The concerts will take place Sunday nights from 8 PM to 9 PM in Wagner Park, located on 26th and Flint Avenue. The first concert starts on June 2nd, and will run through July 14th. The band will also be preforming at a special patriotic concert on July 2nd at First United Methodist Church, as well as performing at Fourth on Broadway on July 4th.
