West Texas Walk of Fame 2012 Inductees to be Announced Thursday

Next Thursday Civic Lubbock, Inc. will announce the Buddy Holly West Texas Walk of Fame Inductees for 2012. The ceremony begins at 10:00am June 14^th at the Buddy and Maria Elena Holly Plaza at 19^th and Crickets Avenue, next to the Buddy Holly statue.

The West Texas Walk of Fame began in the 1970’s as a tribute to Lubbock Rock Legend Buddy Holly. The monument recognizes famous or influential people involved in the West Texas Music scene. Last year’s inductee was Bill Griggs, a music historian from Lubbock.
