Visit Lubbock Wins Awards at Texas Association of Convention & Visitors Bureau Annual Conference
Visit Lubbock has won awards at a statewide conference.
The group’s activities and works were considered at the Texas Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus Idea Fair at the organization’s annual conference in El Paso.
Visit Lubbock took home People’s Choice Awards for an advertising campaign and a local awareness campaign. Visit Lubbock also won Judges’ Choice Awards for a Local Awareness Campaign and National Travel & Tourism Week.
“It is an incredible honor to receive these Idea Fair awards from the TACVB,” said John Osborne, president and CEO of Visit Lubbock. “Our team has worked hard to ensure Lubbock’s marketing efforts are one-of-a-kind, and it’s humbling to receive these accolades from our industry peers and professionals.”
The Idea Fair competition allows each city to present idea boards displaying the different programs and campaigns they have created over the past year to promote their city to leisure travelers and meeting planners. Members then vote in a number of categories.
The TACVB is the largest association of convention and visitors bureaus in the nation.
