Vehicle, Foot Chase With Lubbock Police Results in Arrest

One person is in police custody after reportedly attempting to evade a Lubbock Police officer following a traffic stop.

Officer Cross pulled over a vehicle at 200 Beech Avenue for a traffic violation just before midnight on April 1^st.

The driver fled in the vehicle, then pulled onto the front yard of his residence in the 200 block of Cherry Avenue and fled on foot.

The officer chased the driver, 28-year-old Dominique Deshone Irvin, into an alley and a backyard before taking him into custody.

Irvin is charged with possession of a controlled substance, evading by vehicle, evading arrest on foot, and parole violation.
