Vandalism to Cost Local Car Wash Thousands of Dollars

A local car was is facing thousands of dollars-worth of repairs. One of the two Sudsy Car Wash locations owned by local John Weatherbe was vandalized by a middle-aged man with an ax.

KAMC News shows security camera footage of a man in a maroon shirt park his truck in the 24-hour do-it-yourself car wash. The man then gets out an ax and tries to break into the credit card and cash machine used to pay for use of the car wash.

The vandal was unable to break into the machine but did manage to cause much damage to the brick surrounding the machine. KAMC News reports that repairs could cost close to $10,000. If you have any information on who may be responsible, call the crime line at 741-1000.
