University Medical Center Hosting A Free Bariatric Surgery Seminar Saturday

A free seminar on bariatric surgery will be held this weekend at University Medical Center.

Dr. David Syn, medical director of the UMC Bariatric Center, is hosting the seminar for those considering bariatric surgery.

Dr. Syn will give information on three types of the surgery with the risk and benefits of each procedure and those who qualify for the various surgeries.

Former patients and those who are currently undergoing the treatment will be on hand to answer questions and offer support.

UMC is ranked in the Top 5 Hospitals in Texas for Bariatric Surgery. The free seminar will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the UMC McInturff Conference Center.
