United Supermarkets is participating in an annual community initiative.

The supermarket chain has teamed up for the annual Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Aisles of Smiles promotion.

When shoppers purchase specially marked products at any United, Market Street, or Amigos location, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the MDA. Guests can also purchase Smiley Face scan tags at checkout for as little as $1.

“Our guests amaze us every year with their generosity,” said Shelby Crews, community relations manager for United Supermarkets. “Last year, we raised more than $48,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and we know our guests will once again help provide support to the families living with neuromuscular disease.”

The promotion will run until September 3rd.
