The University Interscholastic League has announced changes for football and basketball districts.  In an interview with KFYO, LISD athletic director Mark Ball talked about some of the changes for this area.

“We kind of anticipated Lubbock High and Monterey dropping down to 4-A  That did happen.  They will be in the same district with Frenship.  We are excited about that.  We feel good about the opportunity there.  Coronado obviously is 5-A, but we didn’t anticipate them going to a 9-team district.

Schools have the option of appealing the changes.
