TxDOT Resumes Postponed Project to Replace Overhead Guide Signs
The Texas Department of Transportation will resume work on a project that was postponed.
Next week, TxDOT will continue work on a proj[onescreen]ect to replace large overhead guide signs along I-27 and Loop 289.
The work was originally scheduled to take place April 21 - 24, but strong overnight winds forced crews to postpone the project.
Beginning this Monday, April 28, crews will close various I-27 main and frontage road lanes and Loop 289 frontage roads lanes to traffic overnight. This will allow crews to safely remove and replace the signs.
The overnight sign replacements will continue nightly through Thursday, May 1, 2014 with various lane closures beginning at 7 p.m each night and reopening by 6 a.m. the following morning.
