Two Red Raider basketball players have been recognized for their academic achievements.

Senior Robert Lewandowski and redshirt sophomore Jaye Crockett have been named to the Academic All-Big 12 Men’s Basketball Team.

Lewandowski, an Overland Park, Kansas native, was named to the first team, which is comprised of student-athletes who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA. He has started 25 games this season.

Crockett, who hails from Clovis, New Mexico, has been named to the second team, for those with a GPA between 3.0 and 3.19. Crockett has played in 24 games, and started three.

Players must keep a 3.0 GPA for the two previous semesters, and participate in 60 percent of their team’s games to qualify for the Academic All-Big 12 teams.
