One person is in the hospital, and two are in police custody following a shooting and a high-speed chase.

Police were called to a scene where a person had been shot in the leg near Clovis Road and North University Avenue just before 1 a.m. Monday.

The suspect vehicle was identified by the gunshot victim, and police pursued the suspects down the Marsha Sharp Freeway, ending up at 48th Street and Chicago Avenue.

There, the two men, 27-year-old Adam Luis Misquez and 26-year-old Rupert Eric Robins were apprehended by police after attempting to flee on foot.

Misquez has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, one count of Evading Arrest, and one count of Possession of Marijuana. Robins is charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Evading Arrest, as he was driving the vehicle during the high speed chase with police.
