Two Men in Police Custody Following Early-Morning Shooting in Northeast Lubbock

One person is in the hospital, and two are in police custody following a shooting and a high-speed chase.

Police were called to a scene where a person had been shot in the leg near Clovis Road and North University Avenue just before 1 a.m. Monday.

The suspect vehicle was identified by the gunshot victim, and police pursued the suspects down the Marsha Sharp Freeway, ending up at 48^th Street and Chicago Avenue.

There, the two men, 27-year-old Adam Luis Misquez and 26-year-old Rupert Eric Robins were apprehended by police after attempting to flee on foot.

Misquez has been charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, one count of Evading Arrest, and one count of Possession of Marijuana. Robins is charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Evading Arrest, as he was driving the vehicle during the high speed chase with police.
