Two Lubbock ISD swimmers have earned All-American honors.

Lubbock High School senior Madisyn Cox and Monterey High School junior Jaecey Parham have been named All-Americans by the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association.

Cox, a six-time All-American and recent Olympic hopeful earned her All-American designation in the 200 Individual Medley.

In order to be named as a NISCA All-American, swimmers must swim faster than a particular standard for an event. Only the top 100 fastest times above the standard are named All-Americans.

“I am so proud of Madisyn and Jaecey for receiving such a prestigious honor,” said Co-Aquatics Director and Head Swim Coach Trey Hayes. “Both of these young ladies set high goals for this season and it is exciting to have all their hard work and dedication recognized on a national level.”

This is the sixth consecutive year that the Lubbock ISD swimming and diving program has produced All-American student athletes.
