Two Hospitalized After Lubbock Dairy Queen Robber Attacks Employees With Baseball Bat

Two people were sent to the hospital after being robbed by a man with a bat, and Lubbock Police are searching for the suspect.

A male employee was reportedly taking out trash from the Dairy Queen at 69^th Street and University Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, when a man attacked him with a baseball bat.

According to Lubbock Police, the assailant then went inside and demanded that a female employee give him money from the restaurant. She handed over the money, and the suspect then attacked her with the bat as well.

The two people were taken to University Medical Center. The woman was treated and released, and the man is reportedly in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, standing about 5’8” and weighing around 140 pounds.
