Tweeting on Your Tractor? Why Not?

Calsidyrose, Flickr

Don’t be surprised if you see a farmer  tweeting on his tractor someday.   Or maybe a rancher Facebooking.

Erica Irlbeck , an assistant professor of agricultural communications  at Texas Tech, has secured a $600,000 marketing grant from the Ag Department to help new farmers and ranchers market their products.

Irlbeck says the grant will provide online media training, specifically social media training.   In addition to Twitter and Facebook,  training will likely cover You Tube, LinkedIN, blogs,  photo sharing sites and more.
