TTU Mobile isn’t just for Apple lovers anymore. Now Android users have access to Texas Tech’s smart-phone application. The university announced the release for devices running Android OS Thursday. This version includes widgets and application shortcuts for ease of access. The application its self was launched around this time last year. Versions for I-phones, I-pads and Blackberrys already exist.

With TTU Mobile, users can browse a variety of university information, from maps of the campus to course listings and directory information. An events section helps users keep up with campus events and lists campus showcases such as art exhibits and concerts.

Over 50,000 people already use TTU Mobile, and with Android users added to the ranks of the Apple and Blackberry users, that number is expected to continue growing. More planned updates include a webOS service for Palm devices and new features for Apple products. To get the applicable version for your device, and more information on TTU Mobile, click here.
