TransAsia Airways flight GE235 crashed into Keelung River shortly after take off from Taipei Songshan airport in Taiwan on Wednesday (Feb. 4).

The plane could be seen veering sharply, with the wing striking a vehicle and barrier before the fatal crash into the river. There were 53 passengers (4 being children) and 5 crew members on board.

At least 23 were killed, 20 people missing and 15 hospitalized, one of those being a small child.

This crash marks the second tragedy involving one of TransAsia's French-made ATR 72 planes, the first occurring in July 2014 killing 48 people and injuring 10.
