Sunday, June 28, a routine traffic stop in Seagraves netted police over 45 grams of methamphetamine.

Around 1:30 p.m. Seagraves Patrol Officers pulled over Donald Hubbard, 35, and passenger Patsy Tidwell 29, for speeding in the 1000 block of US 385.

K9 units were called to the scene when the officer became suspicious of drug possession during their conversation. Hubbard refused the officer's request to search the vehicle, but when one of the dogs gave the positive alert to the officer, probable cause was gained to carry out the search.

The over 45 grams of meth seized by law enforcement constitutes a 1st degree felony, and both Hubbard and Tidwell were charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
