Traffic Signal Work Along 19th Street Planned for Coming Weeks

Traffic signals at two major intersections in Lubbock will be upgraded next week.

Beginning on Monday, the traffic signals at 19^th Street and University Avenue and 19^th Street and Indiana Avenue will be upgraded.

The traffic signal at 19^th Street and University Avenue will be placed in all-red flash beginning at 10 p.m. this Monday and Tuesday while crews install new signal arms.

The signal at 19^th Street and Indiana Avenue will go into all-red flash beginning at 10 p.m. on Monday, May 21^st and Tuesday, May 22^nd for signal arm installation as well.

Police will direct traffic at the intersections, and various lane closures can be expected during the work.

The signals will go into normal green-yellow-red mode around midnight on the nights that the traffic signals are upgraded.
