Facebook

The Lubbock Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent murder and attempted suicide that occurred late Thursday evening.

LSO deputies were called out to a home near the intersection of Woodrow Road and Indiana Avenue just before 10:20 p.m. Thursday.

When deputies arrived, they found two people outside the residence, both alive with gunshot wounds.

Fifty-three year-old Tracy Don Dennis died at the scene, and 51-year-old Patricia Diana Dennis is in critical condition at an area hospital.

The LSO says that they believe Patricia Diana Dennis shot Tracy Don Dennis, her ex-husband, and then turned the gun on herself.

Patricia Dennis is in police custody at University Medical Center.
