Former Texas Tech football coach Tommy Tuberville doesn't seem to miss Lubbock, TX very much. Tuberville was a guest on The Rick and Bubba Show in Birmingham, Alabama when he reflected on his move from Auburn to Lubbock.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Tuberville compared moving to Lubbock as if he was moving to Siberia and compared Lubbock to a war-torn Middle Eastern nation:

"You run me off at Auburn and you ship me to Lubbock, Texas," Tuberville said on the show. "I'm going to tell you what, that's like going to Siberia. Somebody asked me, 'What's Lubbock look like?' It looked like Iraq."

The hosts, while chuckling along with Tuberville, reminded him that they were broadcasting to which he claimed he still loved the people here.

"Well, I love those people out there," Tuberville said in response.

Well, at least he still likes the people, right?

Tuberville was the head coach of Texas Tech football from 2010-2012. He was fired by Cincinnati after this past season. Tuberville considered running for Governor of Alabama, but decided against extending his losing streak and dropped out of the race.
