State Representative Dan Flynn (R) has filed a bill for the next legislative session allowing Texas to opt out of the observance of Daylight Saving Time.

Personally, I'm in favor of the bill. It doesn't matter to me whether we stay on Central Standard Time, or Daylight Saving Time - Either would be fine with me. I'd just love to see Texas take a position one way or the other (as have Arizona and Hawaii), and stop with the time-changing already. I can get used to the difference in Summer sunset/sunrise times, and would never miss the twice-yearly clock swapping.
