Texas Tech has appointed a head baseball coach.

Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt announced Thursday afternoon that Tim Tadlock will serve as the Red Raider head baseball coach.

Tadlock served as interim head coach following the firing of former coach Dan Spencer.

“We will honor the legacy at Texas Tech and we are looking forward to hitting the ground running,” said Tadlock.

Tadlock began his tenure at Texas Tech working with the Red Raider defense during the 2012 season.

He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Texas Tech in May 1992, and earned a master’s degree in education in August 1994 from the University of Texas at Tyler.
