Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, Tim Collins from the Lubbock Entertainment and Performing Arts Association (LEPAA) joined the show to talk about the new Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences, which is now under construction in downtown Lubbock.

About the progress and construction schedule, Collins said, "It's been amazing to see the community support that we've had, and how this process has gone. We're hoping to open the building in maybe December 2019 or shortly thereafter."

The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences will contain a 2,200 seat main theater, a 400 seat small theater, a 6000 sq ft meeting area 'flex-space', five new studios for Ballet Lubbock, and a restaurant that will be managed by United Supermarkets.

Collins said,

It is a great multi-purpose building of the highest quality.
